2014 J Christopher “Villages”

Tasting notes submitted by OregonWines.com Admin

Basic Details: This wine was made by J. Christopher. This wine was made from Chehalem Mountains pinot noir grapes, and contains 13.5% alcohol.

Sight: This wine is dark deep red in color, has hazy clarity, and sheeting viscosity.

Aromas: Earthy, Floral, Spicy, Vegetative: Luscious, floral bouquets give way to grassy fields on a rainy summer evening, with a sweet kiss of toffee at the end. The signature Chehalem traits are there. Rose and raspberry draw me to the living elements of this wine, while petrichor and cedar forest honor the structure and resilience of the Earth that brought it forth..

Taste: This chewy, medium-bodied wine is dry, and shows soft acidity, moderate tannins, medium-high oak, and complex flavors. It is well balanced, and has a lingering finish. Overall, it is outstanding.

Pairing Suggestions: Poultry Dish, Pork Dish, Lamb Dish, Beef Dish. Dishes include anything you cook with fire, even heartier red meats.

Overall Impression: This wine retails for about 23.99. We would purchase this wine again. We recommend adding this wine to your cellar or collection. You should drink this wine by 2022. This wine is wonderful.
