OregonWines.com's message board was developed to benefit wine enthusiasts such as yourself, help you learn more about wine culture, and give you an place to share your views about wine in a low-pressure environment.
To maintain the focus of our message board, we have adopted the use of certain board etiquette and editorial policies.
1. Off-Topic Comments
The message board is organized to allow you to find a topic of interest. We ask that you refrain from posting off-topic comments on a given forum or topic. Instead, if you have something new or off-topic that you want to share with other board readers, consider starting a new topic. Off-topic messages may be removed without prior notice.
2. Profanity and Prejudice
The message board is meant to provide a helpful, supportive environment for you to share your comments with other wine enthusiasts. Profanity or prejudiced comments of any kind are not allowed on the message board. Messages containing profanity or prejudice will be removed immediately, and the person posting those comments may have their posting privileges revoked.
3. Advertisements
The message board is to remain free of advertisements of any kind. This includes commercial commentary, contact details, and email addresses or Web links deemed to advertise products or services. Messages containing advertisements will be edited or deleted without prior notice.
4. Linking to Web Sites
When posting to the message board, providing links to Web sites that support your comments or that may help other message board readers is permitted. However, we do not allow posting to your own private or commercial Web site, as that is considered an advertisement. If you want to advertise on OregonWines.com, please contact us to inquire about rates. Messages that contain links to your own Web site will be edited or removed without prior notice.
5. Flaming and Trolling
On a healthy message board, exchanges may frequently heat up between readers who share very different viewpoints. Such exchanges are allowed. However, the message board is to remain free of flamers (people who only post inflammatory comments and want to pick fights more than participate in a forum) and trolls (people who post off-topic messages just to try and get a response out of board readers). Board members who flame and troll are subject to having their messages deleted and their posting privileges revoked.

Please contact us with questions you have regarding these policies. Remember, these rules are in place to help keep the message board free of distracting comments, and to make sure it remains a useful, beneficial service for all.
