(Rickreall, Oregon) - Right in the heart of wine country, Eola Hills Wine Cellars has long been a popular stop for cyclists who enjoy the miles and miles of desolate back country roads, covered bridges, ferry crossings, and the dozens of beautiful vineyards that dot the landscapes. Of note, this is somewhat of a unique and emerging trend as noted in a June 11th New York Times article featuring Eola Hills. See:

Being avid cyclist themselves, the folks at Eola Hills Winery decided to organize a bike tour in the mid 90's. That ride has now evolved into "Bike Oregon Wine Country" with portion of wine sales proceeds going to the "Oregon Education Assistance Fund".

Bike Oregon Wine Country is a fully supported ride that takes cyclist through the scenic Eola Hills and Mid-Willamette Valley Wine Country. Surrounded by lush vineyards and picturesque countryside, the various routes offer both short and long loops, which range between 30 to 70 miles. Day rides leave every Sunday in August at 8am with orientation at 7:30 am.

All Rides start and finish at Eola Hills Wine Cellars in Rickreall, Oregon, but the route varies each weekend. Lunch is provided at one of many participating wineries, and all wine purchased in-route is transported back to Eola Hills by one of our "SAG" vehicles. Enjoy their Sunday Brunch for early return riders or stay and enjoy a BBQ with wine tasting for all the finishers and their guests.
