Check out what’s new at the Cellar on 10th:

Several new arrivals at the Cellar…Northwest arrivals included – from Zerba Cellars, they do it again with the debut of their new white wines, their 2004 Columbia Valley Viognier ($22); and their single vineyard Lewis Vineyard Chardonnay ($16.99); and the newly released 2003 Syrah ($32). These wines from newcomer Zerba Cellars are just outstanding. The Viognier is just bursting with those creamy nectarine and white peach flavors with some racy spiciness to the finish, and the Chardonnay is outstanding at room temperature displaying luscious tropical fruit and banana flavors with soft, subtle toasty oak. Their 2003 Syrah is another big powerhouse, bursting with blackberry, plum, and currant flavors with a nice round mouthfeel and smooth, long finish. Kings Estate’s 2003 Oregon Pinot Gris ($16.99) arrived back at the cellar with the refreshing crispness known for this winery. International arrivals – included the 2004 Domaine Des Dolcice Muscadet’ ($12.99) from the Loire Valley in France, displaying its Sauvignon and Semillon softness that makes this wine perfect for those warm summer days.

Our featured wine of the week:

Our featured wine of the week is the 2004 Amycas from Brooks winery. This is a lovely, refreshing summertime white blend of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Gewürztraminer that is fresh and crisp with aromas and flavors of white peaches, apple, and pear with well balanced acidity and a hint of spiciness on the finish from the Gewürztraminer. A great summertime wine! ($12.99)
