Several new arrivals at the Cellar…Northwest arrivals included – from K-Vintners, their new 2004 Columbia Valley Viognier ($23) with that bold, racy style you’d expect from Charles the winemaker. This Viognier is outstanding displaying floral aromas and flavors of Asian pear, nectarine and melon with a long, smooth finish that displays hints of subtle spice; From Zerba Cellars of Milton-Freewater in the Walla Walla Valley, their 2003 Cabernet Franc ($32) bursting with blackberry, black cherry, black currant, and plum with hints of toasty oak on the refined, smooth finish, and their new 2003 red blend “The Wild Thing” ($21) which is a delicious red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc from the Walla Walla Valley.

This Saturday, July 23rd wine tasting will feature International Summertime wines.
Join us Saturday from 1-4pm at the Cellar on 10th for complimentary wine tasting featuring International summertime wines. We will be featuring summertime wines from Spain, Italy, France, Chile, and South Africa - showcasing the wonderful varietals for summer from these regions, including Cheverny, Muscadet, Pinot Grigio, Rioja Blanco, Albarino, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chenin Blanc. We look forward to having you join us, Saturday from 1-4pm for an unforgettable tasting of International summertime wines!
Our featured wine of the week:
Our featured wine of the week is the 2004 Amycas from Brooks winery. This is a lovely, refreshing summertime white blend of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Gewürztraminer that is fresh and crisp with aromas and flavors of white peaches, apple, and pear with well balanced acidity and a hint of spiciness on the finish from the Gewürztraminer. A great summertime wine! ($12.99)

Mark these dates in your calendar for our upcoming wine tastings…..July 30th, Pascal from David Hill Winery will be at the Cellar showcasing their great Northwest red and white wines; on August 6th we will be featuring new wines from the Pacific Northwest; and on August 13th you’ll be delighted with our featured tasting of the World of Gallo wines (you’ll be surprised at the worldwide wines owned by the Gallo family).
