The years of blood, sweat, tears, and endless giving by each of our citizens, is what brought the United States into existence.  
 
This Fourth of July, as you celebrate with friends and family, enjoy a nice barbecue, raise glasses of Oregon wine in a toast to our nation's history and traditions, and watch the bombs bursting in air, remember to hold dear the truths that we all stand for: truth, justice, equality, freedom, peace, and sharing.
